TALANTON

 

 

TALANTON is a Greek company that was established in 1992 and focuses on the development of large-scale sales networks both in Greece and abroad, offering a set of diverse and multifaceted business consulting and marketing services. The company implements different sales promotion programs in the sectors of merchandising, educates and trains on sales and marketing seminar cycles, holds market researches and works on direct marketing strategies. The company is executing as a third party marketing services organization from a wide scale of merchandising programs to new products market placement and creation of sales and product networks, for the FMCG industry and services (mobile telephony) in Greece and Europe. It is also executing as one of the most important third party sales services representatives and strategic marketers for programs related with pharmaceutical products in the areas of dental and health care. Today, TALANTON’s trained personnel and experts and its scientific cooperators consist of more than 110 persons. At the same time, TALANTON owns a group of specialists that work on the promotion of pharmaceutical products and health care services into a wide spectrum of health care-related customers. TALANTON has also extended its activities to include the provision of products in the IT sector. The R&D department of TALANTON undertakes projects that emphasize in the development, support and maintenance of customized software products for mobile services, telecommunication networks, wireless networks and RFID solutions.

 

 TALANTON will use its long-lasting previous experience in the business consulting and marketing sector, its quite experienced personnel (consultants, marketers, IT experts and software engineers) and its qualification obtained from the execution from several IT-oriented projects to complete the whole set of tasks that the company is assigned to in POCEMON. The main role that TALANTON has in the project refers to dissemination and the exploitation activities along with large effort during the pilot studies. The pilot studies require ICT experts to support the POCEMON diagnostic software during the real tests that will occur. The evaluation task 7.3 of the pilot studies, will be supported in all real-case pilot studies by TALANTON in the scope of the technical diagnostic software evaluation which will include: a) performance and robustness of the medical and genomic data handling of the POCEMON diagnostic software, b) robusteness and quality of the diagnostic software running on the PDA devices, c) performance, accuracy and security of the wireless communications between PDA and the LIS. During the pilot studies of the POCEMON project ICT experts are required to support and track its separate module of the POCEMON diagnostic software in order to provide a stable and robust diagnostic product on the market.

 

TALANTON will explore the needs of the primary care practitioners and provide technical support to the pilot studies. TALANTON is also responsible for dissemination.
